What a contract review costs in Poland in 2026

A short contract costs a few hundred złoty, a longer one from a thousand up, a lawyer's hour 300 to 600 zł net. Where the numbers come from and what you get.

In Poland the question “how much does a contract review cost” has three answers at once: an hourly rate, a price per page and a fixed price per document. Each gives a different result for the same contract. We collected the public price lists of law firms and of the sites that compare them, and we show the ranges that prices fall into in 2026.

One caveat first. There is no official tariff for legal services, and only a minority of firms publish a price list. The figures below are ranges from the specific pages listed in the sources, read on 16 October 2026. Your quote may come out differently, and that is normal.

Three ways to price the same contract

Hourly rate. The lawyer counts the time spent and multiplies it by the rate. In the price lists of firms serving businesses a standard hour is most often 300 to 450 zł net, and 450 to 600 zł for complex matters 11Kancelaria FIROST, “Stała obsługa prawna firm, kompleksowe wsparcie kancelarii prawnej” (Ongoing legal services for companies) (opens in a new tab). Hourly rates of 300 to 450 zł net for standard commercial and administrative matters and 450 to 600 zł net for complex ones; retainers by company size. Read on 16 October 2026.22MDL Kancelaria Prawna, price list (opens in a new tab). 450 zł net per hour; a comprehensive review of a counterparty's contract with a risk report from 2,500 zł, lease agreements from 2,500 zł, other agreements such as rental or agency contracts from 3,000 zł; a 55-minute e-consultation 500 zł net; monthly packages of 4, 10 and 25 hours. Read on 16 October 2026.. Comparison sites give a wider range, 200 to 800 zł net an hour, depending on the city, seniority and specialisation 33Tujestprawnik.pl, “Ile kosztuje prawnik? Sprawdź cennik usług prawnych” (How much does a lawyer cost?) (opens in a new tab), 21 August 2026. Hourly rates from 200 to 800 zł net, in-person advice 200 to 500 zł gross; indicative figures with no stated methodology.. In this model you learn the price afterwards, unless you ask for an estimate of hours up front.

Price per page. A rarer model, but it exists: one firm prices the verification of contract clauses at 150 zł net per page 44Kancelaria BHPEX, price list (opens in a new tab). Verification of contract clauses 150 zł net per page, drafting 400 zł net per hour, packages of 4 to 32 hours a month; marked as illustrative. Read on 16 October 2026.. A ten-page contract then costs 1,500 zł net, whether the pages are dense or full of annexes.

Fixed price per document. The firm names one amount for the review, sometimes as a range that depends on length. A contract of a few pages is 350 to 650 zł gross in one Warsaw price list 55Kancelaria Adwokacka DMS Legal, price list (opens in a new tab). Review of a contract of a few pages about 350 to 650 zł gross, legal advice 250 to 350 zł gross for about 45 minutes, online advice 250 to 450 zł gross. Read on 16 October 2026.. A review of a longer contract starts at 400 zł net in a summary of prices from randomly selected firms 66Mecenasi.pl, price list of legal services (opens in a new tab). Average, indicative prices from randomly selected firms: review of a longer contract from 400 zł net, a contract draft from 600 zł net, business legal services from 300 zł net per hour. Read on 16 October 2026.. A review with a risk report starts at 1,579 zł net with one attorney-at-law 77Kinga Konopelko, attorney-at-law, “Indywidualne przygotowanie umowy” (Individual contract preparation) (opens in a new tab). Contract review from 1,579 zł net, a fixed price after a quote within 24 hours; consultation 499 zł gross for 45 minutes. Legal position stated on the page: 1 October 2026. and at 2,500 zł net at another firm 2.

Price ranges in 2026

To make comparison easier, we sorted the prices by what you actually order. Every amount comes from the public price lists and sites named in the sources.

  • A consultation that walks through the contract, 45 to 60 minutes. The median offer across 102 profiles of advocates and attorneys-at-law is 300 zł, in Warsaw 415 zł 88Wezprawnika.pl, “Ile kosztuje adwokat w 2026? Stawki i ceny z 102 profili” (How much does an advocate cost in 2026? Rates from 102 profiles) (opens in a new tab), 24 August 2026. Median consultation price 300 zł, in Warsaw 415 zł; data from the profiles of lawyers on the site, not the whole market. The regulation's minimum rates described as amounts for awarding litigation costs, not a price list.. Firms list 250 to 450 zł gross for online advice 5 and 500 zł net for a 55-minute e-consultation 2. You get an assessment of selected clauses and a conversation. You do not get redlines on the document.
  • Review of a short contract, a few pages. 350 to 650 zł gross 5 or from 400 zł net 6. At an hourly rate this is usually one to two hours of work, so 300 to 900 zł net.
  • Review of a medium contract, 10 to 25 pages, with redlines. This is where the spread is widest. Per page, 1,500 to 3,750 zł net 4. At a fixed price, from 1,579 zł net 7 to 2,500 zł net and more when a risk report is included 2. At an hourly rate, three to six hours, so 900 to 3,600 zł net.
  • A long or unusual contract, over 25 pages. Almost nobody prices this up front. Firms quote it individually, and price lists say “from”: from 2,500 zł net for a lease or a contract sent by the counterparty, from 3,000 zł net for rental or agency agreements 2.
  • Drafting a contract from scratch. A different service from review, but often asked about alongside it. From 600 zł net for a simple draft 6 or 400 zł net per hour of work on it 4.

Prices grow with page count, but not in a straight line. The biggest jumps come from three things: a risk report instead of a list of comments, redlines on the document instead of notes in an email, and rounds with the other side.

Why there is no official tariff

Conversations about prices keep returning to “the regulation on rates”. This is the Minister of Justice regulation on fees for advocates' activities, whose consolidated text was published in February 2026 99Notice of the Minister of Justice of 12 February 2026 announcing the consolidated text of the regulation on fees for advocates' activities, Dz.U. 2026 poz. 215 (opens in a new tab)., and its counterpart for attorneys-at-law. Those minimum rates are what courts use to award the reimbursement of representation costs. They are not a price list for services.

The Ministry of Justice said so in plain words when it raised the rates: the lawyer's fee is still agreed with the client at market prices 1010Prawo.pl, “Opłaty za czynności adwokatów i radców prawnych. Rozporządzenie na 2025 r.” (Fees for the activities of advocates and attorneys-at-law. The regulation for 2025) (opens in a new tab), 24 December 2024. Minimum rates serve to award litigation costs; the lawyer's fee is still agreed with the client at market prices.. Comparison sites repeat the same caveat under every table 8. For a contract review the regulation provides no rate at all, because it is work done outside court.

The conclusion is simple. The only two sources of a price are the list the lawyer publishes and the quote you receive in writing before the work. If you have neither, you do not have a price.

What exactly you are buying

A price without a scope means nothing. Two firms can quote 1,000 zł for the same contract and deliver something completely different. Before you compare amounts, check what each of them covers.

  1. The form of the result. A list of comments in an email, comments on the document, or tracked changes. Only the last one can go straight back to the other side.
  2. Revision rounds. Is one revision after your comments included, or is every next version a new quote.
  3. Talking to the other side. Negotiation is usually a separate item. Check whether the quote covers it and, if so, how far.
  4. Annexes. The contract has 6 pages, the annexes 30. Ask whether they count towards the length.
  5. Net or gross. Price lists mix both. For a company net is what matters, but compare like with like.
  6. The deadline and its conditions. From when the clock runs: from sending the file or from confirming the scope.

If a quote answers these six questions, you can compare it with another. If it does not, ask before you say yes.

When this price is not enough

There are situations where a review for a few hundred or a few thousand złoty is not what you need. An investment agreement, a merger, a dispute that has already reached court, or a contract under foreign law call for a team and a budget counted differently. There, hourly rates and billing after the fact are the norm, because nobody knows at the start how much work there will be at the end.

There is also the opposite situation. If you sign fifty similar contracts a year on your own template, you do not need fifty reviews. You need one well-made template and rules for when you may depart from it. That is cheaper than any of the items above times fifty.

How we do it at Kepta

Kepta prices a contract review by length and publishes the prices up front: one price for a contract up to 3 pages, one for a contract over 3 and up to 25 pages, and for longer or unusual contracts a fixed price once the scope is set. The current amounts are on the pricing page. We do not repeat them here, so this text does not age faster than the price list.

The standard review includes what you ask about in points one and two: the review, redlines on the document, one revision round and negotiation guidance. Negotiation with the other side is a separate item, also at a fixed price. You see the scope and the price before we start.

Kepta is a technology-driven legal-services company, not a bar-regulated law firm. Software reads the contract, compares it with your earlier ones and extracts the deadlines. A lawyer reviews the legal work within the agreed service. If your matter needs representation in court, we say so at the quoting stage and point out that it is work for an advocate or an attorney-at-law.

Frequently asked questions

How much does it cost to have a short contract checked by a lawyer in Poland?

According to public price lists, a few hundred złoty: 350 to 650 zł gross for a contract of a few pages, or from 400 zł net. At an hourly rate it is one to two hours of work, so 300 to 900 zł net. Check whether redlines on the document are included.

Do Polish lawyers price a contract review per page?

Rarely, but it happens. One price list gives 150 zł net per page. More often you will meet an hourly rate, 300 to 600 zł net, or a fixed price for the whole document.

Is there an official price list for legal services in Poland?

No. The regulation on fees for advocates' and attorneys' activities sets minimum rates for awarding litigation costs, not a price for the client. The fee is agreed with the lawyer at market prices.
